I love the silhouettes! There's a purity and simplicity to the moment that expresses the sport wonderfully (I follow college basketball). However, for me the position of the sun is acting as a spotlight, and therefore is focused on the least important part of the story.
Yes silhouettes are fun and I would like to do more but too many missed opportunities rule the outcome.
The position of the sun could have been placed elsewhere but my decision, I felt, was more appropriate to feather the light up towards the ball where the silhouette happens to be at the strongest point and yet the basket still visible, but yet still have 'The Air Up There' effect. I appreciate your feedback and in hopes that my explanation makes some sense.
