For the curious, this is a sample of the type photos I have done over the years.
Not for your coffee table book.

I have been around railroads and they are dangerous. Obey the signals and look both ways before crossing. If you have the opportunity support Operation Lifesaver.

I feel sorry for the one's who meet their demise but most of all for the engineer and members of the train crew for they don't have any control over the situation.

Thanks for the “reminder” Dan. February 13, 2004 I had my encounter with a train but I guess it was not my time to cash in all my chips. Still have nightmares of the incident and will live with the results of the injuries I sustained for the rest of my life. In my case the moral of the story was and still is, “do not talk on your cell phone when driving your car”!
Thanks again for the reminder.
Garth

Life photo's - not always the ones we want to take but must be documented...
When I saw the post title, I thought it might be photos of the two deputies killed by a train chasing a suspect yesterday in Chicago... depressing to see it was another accident...

I have pictures of this type and much, much worse going back into the '60's, which I will not share for obvious reasons. It was a job, never a hobby. There are many, many memories from the years gone by I wish I could forget. When in crime scenes it never failed to amaze me at what cruelty humans can do to one another. Now my photography is a hobby, a joy and a pleasure as it should be. Thanks to all for comments and looking.

Good shots of reality, if the police in Ga & SC gave tickets for all infractions er could pay off the national debt.
