Like many of you I am sure, I downloaded the new Luminar 3 with libraries today. So far I like what I see. Have just barely scratched the surface of what it can do but I liked the speed, the ease of opening up an entire file, and the new looks. Will be spending a lot of time the next few days watching tutorials and exploring its features and deciding how I will use it. Always something new to learn and play with in photography.

I keep getting a "Database opening failed" and it just sets there. I've got a message into Skylum. Too bad I was really looking forwardd to the update.

That sucks. I don't know enough about it yet to offer any advice. New programs always have a few wrinkles to iron out. Hope you get it worked out. I opened up files both on my computer and external harddrive without any problems so far.

I'm on a Mac as well and just installed it today. On1 is my go to but I am impressed with the speed of luminar 3. Not sure I see an advantages yet over using a file and browser system like On1 but at least Luminar 3 doesn’t seem to have the catalog issues Lightroom has with losing pointers. at least not yet

On MHz Mac running Mojave, it has crashed every time shortly after opening. I sent one of the crash reports to Luminar.

Using a PC. Download seems to corrupt their Luminar Catalog File. They had me send a copy so they could see the problem.

I am also having some issues with the Windows version. After I make edits to a photo, if I leave it and come back to it, I can no longer change or add more filters. Basically all functions on the right and bottom panel are frozen.

I'm running a MacBook Pro with Mojave and Luminar 3 installed without a problem. I love the ease of use and the ability to create your own workspaces.

So far my experience with Luminar Neptune up to Luminar 3 has been great. Very impressed.

I'm using Luminar 3 on a PC and have immediately noticed some issues compared to the Mac version I see used on the video tutorials. The toolbar is missing an item, rotating an image in the Library doesn't work. The "Open" button doesn't have an "Import Images To ... " option. Just getting started but sure like the look of it.

If Lightroom is losing your image location, something is wrong with your settings or with the way you are using the program. Lightroom should mirror where you store your images. If you are having issues with LR, you may have issues with Luminar 3.

I have had a horrible time with L3! First it took 75 minutes to install, then it took another 65 minutes to load 23k of photos. Didn't ask where to get the photos. Must have just started scanning my computer. (I have a custom built Windows 10 PC. Every component is the very top of the line and fastest that is currently available) Every time I start the program it takes anywhere from 15 to 20 to open. The photos that have been loaded into the Library look like crap! all are very fuzzy, some to the point that you can barely recognize what they are. L3 rum extremely slow, so slow that I will never use it. I had zero problems with L2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled L3 to the same experience. I have read over a dozen posts on Facebook and every one of them have been extremely negative. Contacted Skylum's tech support. Apparently they are inundated with unsatisfied L3 customers. Stated that due to an overwhelmingly large number of inquiries, it could be quite some time before I would receive an answer to my question. Not at all pleased!
