Going out yesterday with my two main lens the Sony Sal 18-55
and the Minolta ZOOM xi 100-300 everything was fine till I came to use the 100-300 it would not work no matter what i tried, then a message flashed up,
"If the lens is not supported you can permit of the lens in the custom menu"
I have never had this happen before and found the answer in the manual downloaded from the www (page 199) and after a great deal of searching page (58) from the manual supplied with the camera.Hope this will assist anyone who has the same thing happen My camera is the a57.

I have a Sony a700 and several Minolta bayonet mount lenses but cannot find an adapter to use the lenses. How are you using the Minolta lenses on your Sony camera?

My Tamron and Sigma lenses were used on Konica FT1 35mm cameras. Konica and Minolta merged and the use of the lenses were okay for those cameras. But I now have the Sony a700 and the Konica/Minolta bayonet lens mount will not fit the a700. Did you have to get an adapter to use your lenses on your a200? If so, where did you get it. I tried all the camera places I know of and no one has the adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
