Nothing special here. I simply want to share the focus of a craftsman at work

I think you captured his concentration and skill as he works. Not every picture taken has to have some deep meaning.

It looks to me that this would make a good b&w study Bob?

Good idea. How about I do one and you [and anyone else interested] do one.? We could tell following Hoggers what we were after, and perhaps have ourselves an interesting and ongoing discussion.

Here's mine. Through masking, dodging and burning, and Photoshop Curves Wanted to bring out the intensity (contrast) of the craftsman and his object, as well as hint at the hard life in his face.

....and you did that well. Focus on the craftsman and his craft. Just what a documentation photo should be. Well done.

OK Bob, rare as it is that I mess with other peoples images, as its you - I've tried to bring out his concentration by lightening around the eyes, and have also brightened the workpiece to show that white hot glass (as well as doing a few bits of d&b).

The texture and lighting in yours literally gives more texture to the shot. Thanks for showing me something.

It’s all there Bob, all I did was use Lightroom to brighten it and (over-)sharpen it. Some local brushes and a couple of radial filters, plus a touch of vignette. No Ps on this one.
