Awhile ago I complained that I couldn't get pictures off my memory card onto the computer. I wrote down all your responses even though I didn't understand what you were talking about. Today I took my notes to a young man who works the photo dept. at Walmart, and he understood everything and sold me just what I needed, and I got all my pictures off the card and onto here now! Thank you all so very much!! :)

Why "write down"? That's what copy and paste is for. I keep an open file in Word and when I run across something here I think I might need I copy it into that page/file. Mainly because I can't read my own handwriting.

Word is okay but have you ever tried "OneNote"? In my opinion it is the slickest program Microsoft ever came up with. Not only does it allow you to copy/paste text and photos but if you copy something from the net it will add a link back to the original post/website.

To get an idea how it works, think of a 3-ring binder in which you can have pages and sections or even multiple binders. Here is a link to an article that explains it better than I can. http://lifehacker.com/5042429/microsoft-onenote-is-a-note+taking-power-tool

I'll take a look. Never heard of it before. My computers run 24/7 but I set the sleep mode to save power. So Word is always open and minimized. Easy to jump right into it. I also will use it as my spell checker since UHH doesn't have one. Yet.

Hit on your suggested site and the bottom line told me it was gonna cost me $100.00. Like Arthur Godfrey used to say(you remember him don't you?). "For free take. For Buy can do without. Just in case you don't, He played the uke and drove a DC3......C
