I look at all the wonderful effects you people do to produce the wonderful effects you delight us with. Sinatraman coined the word "Tildefied" for Theresa's efforts.

I am so set in my ways and like full tonal ranges, sharpness and verticals that are vertical! But I decided to have a go and "Tildefied" one of my grasshopper collections

Nothing too garish but I was pleased with it as an initial effort. Hope you like it Tilde531.

I think you did a nice job! Looks pretty good to me. You started with a great picture, which I like better. :) The colors are awesome in both. I also am not one to stray very far from the normal. :) Maybe when I get old and all the beautiful things I have taken and will take get boring. I might try a few. :)

I'm old and I am boring (ask my wife). Great shot of the creepy crawlie and I love the artwork.

Erv, from what I have seen of your work I doubt it will ever get boring. There are sooo many beautiful things out there to photograph with some being so close you probably step on them and others as big and awesome as mountains that I find it hard to believe you will ever find them boring.
This is not to say it is not fun to try something different. Rbo36

I really like both, the originnal is a great shot in itself, and giving the hopper a swirley is great fun. I enjoy taking unusual subjects like this one to my PSP2 effects too. Hope you don't mind if I share a couple of treatments of your shot.

Had a go with Ultra Fractal, I'm just learning this and took a full day to figure out how to do this effect, now just takes a few minutes.
