I took a photo of a hand-painted tile with my Nikon using a 90mm F28 lens and then I worked on it in Photoshop to create an interesting version. I would appreciate all comments
What you have done is creative, and not overdone. The handling of the extreme color that was in the original, and the adding of a texture that links foreground and background are well done.
It is also hard to appreciate for many who will need to see a "story," so it is not likely that you will get many comments that will be helpful.
Congratulations.
It looks to me like you have made something very interesting out of something quite mundane. Keep playing. It appears to be a pealing paint filter of some sort. Really transforming.

I think there are two stories to this
posting:
1. A comparison of the original to the edit: I have a great admiration and respect for the OP's creativity and vision. Super work!
2. If the result were presented alone, would I be drawn to it? I'm not positive. There are interesting textures and colors and design, so it does hold my interest for a bit, but I'm not sure I would have commented. This has nothing to do with the OP, simply personal preference.
Many thanks, Michael!
Thank you all for looking and for your comments. Hopefully more will comment.
If you want to color with crayons, use paper.

Interpretations are often looked down upon because they rely on the viewer's life history. Many would just look and say in their minds, "OK." Then they go to what they desire to see the most. Human nature at work.
I find your interpretation interesting. It is this that which may be turned into a trend in the cloth and decor industry. It does engender a differing view of something mundane. I always see faces and figures in the things around me. Sometimes I do photograph them, other times I draw up sketches. Sometimes it remains very esoteric.
Keep up with the experimentation to see what you can cajole out of the cauldron.

I like the 2nd one, at first glance it looks like a drapery.
Well done.
It is its own story, let the viewer add their own words.

What’s the story? I am an easy date. I like the first and my eye was pleasured.
Vary well done thanks for sharing.
