B&H shipping quality change

I've noticed a dramatic decrease in shipping expedience from B&H with several recent purchases. This dates to before the holidays and is not related to them. I've been buying from B&H for years. Up to about 6 months ago, items in stock and eligible for expedited shipping came the next day to my DC suburb home. Over the last six months, shipping under the same circumstances started taking up to a week. Most recent example is my order for 2 items in stock eligible for expedited delivery and order confirmed November 26. One item arrived 11/30 after shipment information was sent to Fedex 11/28. Shipment information for the other item from my confirmed 11/26 order was only sent to Fedex 12/3 and arrived 12/5. So the delays seem to be at B&H and not the shipper. I am wondering what is the cause behind this marked delay in shipments at B&H and is this going to be a common occurrence?

I just ordered from them on Monday, it had free shipping and it was said to be delivered by Friday, but it was on my doorstep this Wednesday, to me, it does not get better than that! Just regular free shipping from New York and two days later it is in front of my house in Idaho! - ....and that during the busy season!!

Same here. My order was shipped DHL and took 6 days to arrive (there was a Monday holiday that week). Previously, UPS ground delivered it the next day. UPS ground doens't ship it to a nationwide distribution center, they just put it on a trailer headed for Boston.

In my area they used to use UPS, but they switched pretty much to FedX and it is not as quick. I am never in a hurry for deliveries, but the difference in service is obvious, plus free is good.

Anything you order from Adorama after some time on Friday doesn’t get shipped till Monday. B&H is likely the same. It is due to the Jewish Sabboth work limitations.
I had an issue with Adorama on an xqd card I needed for Thanksgiving and ordered the Friday before. They promise 3 day free shipping. But when it wasn’t shipped till Monday I called them on it and learned the above. Of course there are not deliveries on Thanksgiving. So when I finally got the tracking Monday evening it promised Friday. In Idaho.
It came on Wednesday so all is forgiven.

I know in the past some folks reported not getting expedited shipping when they thought they should have. Turned out they were on less expensive items, and they only read what they wanted to see.

I don't think so. I had similar experience on number of occasions in last few months and as I've pointed out the delay seems to be in time that B&H spends to send shipment information to FedEx.

I am well aware of that caveat and my orders are always considerably above this limit.

I ordered a laptop on a Monday and it came on Tuesday with free shipping. Fedex has worked out better than UPS has in the past.
Your post suggests a lack of follow through. Instead of airing it here, maybe you should make further attempts to resolving.
