President George H.W. Bush, #41
President George H.W. Bush (1924-2018) will have his funeral today inside the National Cathedral. He had an exemplary public service life, that included being a pilot during WW2,, and rescued at sea by an American submarine when his plane was downed. Presidents get Pomp And Circumstance Ceremonies at their Inauguration, and their funerals. Lately, Senator John McCain had one, and now President George H.W. Bush. The Ceremonies are exceptional. I was especially impressed by the U.S. Marine Corps Band, and the US Navy Choir. Dignitaries from all over the Continent will be in attendance, including Prince Charles of Great Britain, and the King of Jordan. And many American Political figures, past and present. Including past Presidents and First Ladies. President Bush wanted his funeral to be nonpartisan. And it will be. RIP Mr. President.
Thank you. These are historic events, sad as it maybe. RIP Mr. President.
Somewhere in my files I have some photos I took of President George Herbert Walker Bush. But I think they are before I went digital, could not find them last night. I voted for him twice and worked for his son GW Bush [43]. Exceptional family had lunch with Barbara who had an incredible sense of humor. My grandchildren were entertained by first lady Laura Bush another dignified lady. This gentleman George Herbert Walker Bush raised a wonderful family and has done his/our country well. Rest in peace and thank you for your service...

Susan Biddle, a photojournalist, was White House Photographer for both Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush during a 5 year period. She has lectured other photographers on how to photograph a President. After Bush was out of Office, the family retained her as the family photographer. She claimed that George and Barbara did not like photos of them showing affection towards one another. But, she sneaked and took a photo of George placing a kiss on Barbara's lips. That photo is one of her many photos she took of the Bush Family.

President Bush was a wonderful, kind man. His humor matched his wisdom. Upon meeting him, most people feel like they have known him for life. I know I did. He gave me a Presidential Pin which I will cherish until the day I die. It has his signature and the #41 engraved on the backside of the pin. Knowing that the only way to receive this pin is to get it directly from the president makes it more special because it reminds me of the incredible conversation we had on the day he gave it to me. I will have to take a picture of it and post it on this site. R.I.P Mr.President!

Cherish that Presidential Pin.He will be buried alongside his wife Barbara, who passed away earlier this year, and his 3 year old daughter, who died of leukemia in 1953. Who wouldn't want a Dad or Granddad like George H.W. Bush. He filled that role greatly. He was the longest living former President ever. Age 94. Now, Junior Bush is now the Patriarch of the family. And, of course the Matriarch, Laura.
A great man who served his country beginning at an early age. Outstanding, compassionate human being.
Rest in peace Mr. President.
RIP George and by now, you have met your maker and answered for your crimes!

Quit buying the PC language and do some research. Please use you brain and quit being told how and what to believe.

Time for you to crawl back under your rock.
He did say that atheists should not be citizens which was not only religious bigotry but also an unconstitutional position expressed by the President of the United States.
I heard G.H.W.B. praised by almost more Democrats than Republicans. That's probably because to a Democrat the only good Republican is a dead Republican.
