UW Stevens Point Hockey Shots

I borrowed my buddies Tamron 70-200 f2.8 lens tonight to shoot my favorite
college hockey team. (I am biased of course as I'm an alumni and my son and cousin #7 attends)
I shot some through the glass and some over for the first time. I should definitely
add this lens to my list - specifically the newest version G2, the one I used
is the older one pre G1. Shot with a d7200 at f2.8 1/640 and auto iso, which landed around
1250 typically, EV +3. I forgot to try center point metering to force it to expose
for the jerseys and not the ice, but it was still very good. Corrected quickly & slightly in Lightroom.
Oh, they won 3-1 and are undefeated, ranking 1st in the Nation - Frozen Four
here we come!

It's a great town. My roommate in college was from Missouri, I spent a lot
of time roaming around that state with him on spring breaks- mainly House Springs and south. Loved it!

WI just became too cold for me. I get homesick for Point every year and think about moving back. And as happens every winter season when we visit family in Nov/Dec, it gets so cold I just want to get out of the weather. I dont think I want to ever spend another Jan-Mar there.

Very nice set. I have heard good reviews on that lens.

Great low light action shots. I use Tamron 70-200 Ver 1 as well, and have been very happy with the results.
