Do they offer a trial version to do a comparison?

You should be able to obtain a free trial of A.I Clear. I loooked at it myself in Topaz Studio ( not the crippled built in, but the pro trial in Studio).
From what I saw I was able to get as good or better noise removal by using Denoise properly, or by using DXO prime noise reduction.
I may not have looked closely at the A.I sharpening it did, but I did not buy it yet.
For many, it is probably worth the price, but I was not moved enough to plunk down my dollars for it at that time.
Is Topaz AI a standalone, or does it require a Topaz platform such as Studio? Thanks. Mark

I think it may require Studio, most of their newer products work within Studio. Topaz Studio is free though.

In my opinion DXO has the fastest/best noise removal among all the major players. In post speed is always a virtue - all else being equal.

DXO Prime NR might not be quite the fastest, but it sure does a good job!
Thanks to everyone for your input. Saved me some money.

Have you checked the description of the product? That would give you the answer.
Just purchased DXO Photolab2 Elite @ 50% discount. It's PRIME noise reduction is very impressive.

If you are talking about AI_Clear it is a Topaz Studio adjustment. It works very well.
Works as a filter in Photoshop CC 2019 also.

It does require studio. It works very well. I think there are some Tutorials on their site on how to use it .
