Had just received my new telephoto, Tamron 150-600mm, F5-6.3, DI VC USD G2 and attached it to my Nikon D810. Went out to Kelea Pond to check it out. I was deeply surprised at how fast the lens would auto focus and how quiet it is. (Having macular degeneration in both eyes I have a hard time in manual focusing.)

Mahalo Mike, I know that I have a keeper. This one replaces my Nikon 80-400 lens which is about 10 years old. It is amazing as time passes how things keep improving.

Mahalo for the kind words. Know what that is like. I get them in both eyes every 4-6 weeks. Sure do hate it as I can't get out for a few days following. Hope your doctor is able to stop or at least slow the degeneration down. Wishing you the very best.

Great images....but. You may want to consider some exposure control in post. The whites seem way blown out. If you shot in RAW, this should be a simple adjustment. JMHO
