As with most tours, when we came in the day before the sun angle was good and clouds were plentiful, so when we left the next day - no clouds and just the sunrise. Our amiable tour guide took everyone to Sunrise Point just off the Rim Trail for the obligatory sunrise photos and then we hit the road. I attach a sunrise sequence and what the hoodoos look like with the rising sun on them.
