Today I was looking at some old lens for my flim cameras. I found a Soligor tele-converterlens for a pentax K 09-2225.

macro No. 8101722 access p-mc zoom 1:2.5~3.5 f=35~70mm 58 macro.

Deitz70-210 3.8 one-touch macro for nikon ai.

Will any of these fit my D300 or D300s? I went on line to find these. I must not know enough to find them. I tryed but could not find them.

I got excited about my remolt cord mc-dc2. I bought it 2 years ago and after reading your post I thought i'd take a look at mine. Sad news... i bought it for my D-300 but they sold me the wrong one . it fits a Nikon D90. mine takes a MC36. The store has changed hands. Thanks EJK

Try Amazon for a remote. I've gotten the cheap wireless and wired, and they work fine.

Any lens with the "AI" designation will mount to and meter on a D300 body. Many third party lenses that are pre-AI will also mount (but not meter). It depends on the depth of the AI skirt.

Thanks so much. I need to find homes for the lens I can no longer use. This is a start. EJK

Well, I don't know about the best, but you can't go wrong with the Nikon unit. It's $25, but it's only a remote. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-MC-DC2-Release-Digital-Cameras/dp/B001F6TXME/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1344544054&sr=8-12&keywords=remote+control+for+nikon+d300

I've had a couple of these under different names, and they work fine. It has timer, so you can take pics at intervals. http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Timer-Remote-Control-EZA-N1/dp/B003G40EGC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1344544054&sr=8-8&keywords=remote+control+for+nikon+d300

Then there is another Nikon product that costs 15X as much. http://www.amazon.com/NIKON-MC-36-Multi-Function-Remote-inches/dp/B000BY9CUY/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1344544325&sr=8-20&keywords=remote+control+for+nikon+d300

I'd go with the $14+ unit. It might not come with good directions - or any directions. If you need help with it, let me know.

Thanks Jerry thats a start. I am getting one and didn't know much about them. I should not have waited so long to use it and I would have found out I had bought the wrong one for my camera. Ejk
