Found One of My First Macro Pictures

I came across this early Macro picture the other day, taken in 2009. If my memory serves me right I was using a Canon 400D and a Sigma 70mm Macro lens.

I think you can just about see a younger me in one of the eyes.

I agree Mark, that would be interesting so on this occasion I'm happy for others to attach their earliest macro efforts to this thread.

this was taken with nikon d70 and a 50mm sigma macro,natural light.if i remember right it was 2011
i saw the robberfly take down the dragonfly but didnt know what happened until i got close.
lucky for me it was to big to fly away with,it was my 1st year shooting macro

That is very impressive! And i am very glad you showed it. Robberflies are known to be bad-*ss, and this very clearly shows it.

do you remember the WD on that lens? I had a Pentax 50mm and it seems it was close, and used that camera you see in
the photo in upper left of this post. Sophomore in high school in Singapore

i just remember at 1x1 it was really close,seems like 3" is about right
