Well, Hell's Hollow in western PA anyway. Focus system very different than the 5DII but think I am getting the hang of it ...

Thanks everyone for looking in. I really appreciate your comments as well. My understanding of the name is that because of the dampness of the location and the depth of the gorge the trail was quite treacherous for early settlers. Today, its really slick after a rain and not sure I even want to try it with any snow ! But then I would love to do some shooting with a layer of snow on the branches.
For those familiar with the area, its a section of the North Country Trail near McConnell's Mill state park.

Nice work.....did you get any pictures of the old iron furnace or the falls? I'm told thousands of years ago it was an underground stream and the "roof" fell in. Whatever, I agree, it's a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

They are okay, they would be better if you left the saturation slider alone.

Thanks for the response - the saturation was to the individual yellow and red sliders in LR to try and get the yellows and browns to not be washed out due to the morning haze. I agree with you that the over-saturation in the foliage should have been addressed. I prefer realism but am often torn on the issue since the over-saturated look is what sells these days. (I actually prefer B&W but even that seems to be dominated by super contrasty prints in today's market).
The backlighting of the leaves also affected the overall appearance and I have some work to do on that as well

Didn't get anything except along the Hells Hollow trail this time. Next trip will be for the mill area and rapids/falls/bridge in that area. Thanks for checking these out.

Used the lens correction only for CA and had difficulty removing completely. The angle of the sun and motion of the leaves during the somewhat long exposures seemed to make matters worse - thanks for pointing it out, will be doing more work on these in the next couple days.
Working the 50mp files I am finding to be a learning curve as well. Tried HDR on the one of the stream flowing in towards the camera and the ghosting due to movement of the leaves was really evident. Not to mention that using the native Lightroom HDR took almost 2 hours to process a 3 shot bracket. Photomatix did a lot quicker though ...
Will take into consideration your comments when re-editing !
