Got a late start last night but the sky was clear and it was a balmy -18C. Bundled up warm and headed out...

A good night under the stars! Orion was well up in the eastern sky as I headed back to the house; a favorite!

Decided to process and post an HDR image of my two Luminance sessions; 30sec. & 10sec.
Preprocessed in PixInsight, HDR in Affinity Photo.
Enjoy!

Recombined the Luminance HDR image with the RGB stacks to create the following image. Trying to bring out some additional color in the result; mission accomplished
Enjoy!
P.S.: I keep wondering if there is some intelligent being on a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy doing much the same image processing on the Milky Way Galaxy?

That's awesome bwa , I'm trying to get something on m31 in LRGB but, the rain and clouds just keeps coming and won't leave. I think I'll build an ARK.

I have no reason to doubt there are.
To think we are alone is just too far fetched.
We haven't even gotten off our planet yet, nor truly explored our oceans.
We are but mold on an orange.
I think I like the B&W best. Looks like what my eyes see when I'm looking up.
And you look dressed a little light, to me. Must not be too cold just yet.
Enjoy better skies there Nanook of the North.
I'm finally putting on long sleeved shirts...

We've been a technological species for maybe 200 years; really closer to 100 years. Just think what a species with thousands, millions or possibly billions of years of technological advancement could accomplish!? That's assuming they don't annihilate themselves in the process...
As for dressing light, that's my snowmobile suit and good to about -30C which is about where my mounts (and bare fingers) seize up.
