If any hoggers have an Apple computer of any kind, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DOWNLOAD THE NEW APPLE OPERATING SYSTEM CALLED "MOJAVI!"
I did and my computer went byebye. I cannot get into the internet, i cannot bring up any downloads, i cannot get into my email at all !!!!!!! I am typing this on my wife's laptop. I have an over a thousand dollar apple computer that i can only play solitaire on at the present time. I am going BACK to apple to have them delete this new opperating system and put in the last operating system, "High Sierra."

I have no idea how much data i will lose, but if i can get back to where i was i think it will be worth it.

So, please Apple users here...DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR APPLE PRODUCT TO MOJAVI

That may happen only to you.

Your experience is certainly atypical, and more likely as not due to an error on your part. Call Apple support. Your data should still be there. And of course, you have a backup.

Hope you did regular backups using time machine to an off storage drive. I upgraded to Mojavi and did not have a problem with anything I had on my computer. Perhaps if you take it to an Apple store they can fix it rather than wipe everything out.

Typing this reply on Mojave OS. Not sure why you are having this experience. If it is an older computer the OS should check for that and not download. I would certainly get with tech support.

I was going to say the same thing. My desktop is a 2011 iMac and it is not compatible past Sierra, so I have no plans to upgrade. Most of the time (and note that I did say "most"), the upgrades are for cute little features that I'll never use or don't need. So my desktop is fine as is. My AirMac is a 2012 and I have upgraded it to High Sierra, but I probably will not go further. A lot of the cross-talk features require both machines to be on the same OS version, so again I will not upgrade. At some point, I will get the newest AirMac.

I certainly hope you used Time Machine and did a back up before you installed Mojave. If you did you should be able to go to a certain point in Time Machine before you installed Mojave and recover, and return your machine back to the High Sierra version you used prior to the Mojave install

I have a late 2014 iMac w/5K monitor and upgraded to Mojavi without any issues.

Apple's OS is pretty solid.

I've read other complaints (elsewhere) as well. Personally I have Windows computers. Wow, that is rare, a dead Apple! I've seen more than one dead Windows PC over the years.

I have read about similiar problems with Mojave... almost installed it but then chose not to. Your sad situation confirmed my fears. I hope you can get it fixed.
