Nice shots of what appear to be coal trains. These shots remind me of two things: I used to know all the badges for the individual RR engines; I used to sit by the rails and think "that long hall freight is going to slow down on the hill and I could just jump aboard". Never did but still sometimes wish I had.

The one CSX train in the curve by the barn, is time freight on the clinch field line south bound heading into Erwin Tenn.

Jumping on is a dream of many little boys. I actually learned how to do it when I was 13, and if you made a mistake the danger was to loose a leg. Then when I worked for the Chicago and Northwestern in '62 I got a lot of practice.
