Living in the Desert locale of Tucson, AZ, every now and then my wife and I take a mini-vacation of a few days in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (also known locally as Rocky Point). It is a 4 hour and 30 minute drive from Tucson and is located where the Sonoran Desert meets the Sea of Cortez. This is a lovely time to visit this little town as the weather is mild and if you go during the week, it is not crowded. The whole experience is that it just boils down to being by the ocean for a few days. It is a quaint little town with interesting shops, bars, restaurants and of course THE OCEAN !

Beautiful sunset. Looks like a great place for a vacation.
I love the shrimp statue! I don't know where this is. Pacific side or Gulf or Cancun area?
