Someone posted a comment about color splash. I own a Mac and have been trying to color a portion of a B&W photo but can't seem to figure out how to do it. I am trying to color the Olympics logo. I will post the photo.

what photo software do you have? if you have an iPad there is a great, easy app to use to do this.

Hi Katie,
Yes I do have an iPad. I'd be happy to hear about the app.

I'm sending the photo again hoping someone using color splash can color the Olympic circles. Is there another app that does the same thing, that is, color portions of B&W photos?

Thank you,
Diane

Best thing to do is upload the colored shot and that way you can preserve the colors of the circles and turn the rest black and white.

Diane, I haven't seen you here before and I don't do PMs but I was looking at the home page and saw your name. I happen to know a lady in a nearby town who's name is Dee Parker. Her birthday is July 7...so I thought maybe...but when I looked at some of your pix, I finally saw "Diane"...

ANYWAY, I hope you don't mind, but I snapped up your pic and colored the rings. I did them with Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10. I have never heard of color splash studio, but it sounds interesting...
Like I said I normally DO NOT do PMs but if you want to know more about this program, I'll be happy to help. My time is extremely limited this time of the year, but I do check in here every few days and look around. I will be happy to help as time permits.

Hi Jo,
I was happy to hear from you. Who is the Dee Parker you mention living close to me? I've been looking for relatives and recently found some in NY and am currently looking in San Diego. Your Dee could be a sister, cousin.
Thank you so much for coloring my photo. Is there a way to download it? I have a friend who would love it for his wall..
Thank you again for taking the time to fix my photo.

Sorry to mislead you, Diane. Dee lives in a town near me in TN. Your location is listed as "hidden" so I couldn't have known where you live.
Parker is her married name and I don't know a lot about her except that she lives near my grandchildren and has the same birthday as their step-dad (and she likes photography). LOL!

If I understand what you want to do, just right click the photo with the colors and click "save as" and direct it to your pictures folder.
The program I used, Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10 can often be found cheap on Ebay. It's very easy to use. (no deep learning curve to it). So many times, people buy the program or have it given to them and sell it on Ebay because they just never use it. Suite 9 has just as much to it and you may even run into it a little cheaper. I have both and use 9 most of the time.
Best wishes.
