I had a great time Friday with a familiar face here on the Ugly Hedge Hog Challenge thread. Dane and his family are here in San Antonio house setting for a week or so and we were able to get together. It was great to meet and greet another Hogger face to face. We went out Friday morning to a couple of the Spanish Missions on the Mission Trail here is San Antonio.

Nice mission shots, Larry. So glad you and dane got to meet up. His wife seems to be just as lovely as yours. I'll be posting - eventually.

Thanks - they did that all bye themselves. Basically it's their singing positions, except for the conductor.

The freezing cold highlight of my week was watching my grandson at his final cross country meet. He had never run X-C till this year (he says he's learned a lot by watching YouTube videos on the subject!). He is 13 and ended up top X-C Boys' Runner in his class.
How cold was it? This didn't factor in the wind
He loves to run and runs with a smile on his face
But the last kick takes all you've got
Over the line at last 1.7 miles 11.08 (1 minute off his best time - I was shivering faster than that)
This was an inspirational banner on the field fence - it applies to so much in life.

Still thinking about our NYC trip a week ago. Guess we got out of there just in time.
Train stop in New London, CT
Our hote was near Times Sq. in the garment district. The tables in the plaza had sewing machines on them.
The heart of the district had this sculpture of a giant button and needle.
One of many "very differently" designed buildings.
Can't believe we were really there - or that it is now just wonderful memories.
