What a beautiful set Sally. I love the first shot with the fog, and the second with the black water is stunning. The last shot is my favorite though. That horse is magnificent.

Last week, we visited Yakima, Washington not far from where I grew up. Although we'd made the drive between Yakima and Portland at least 100 times, I never stopped to take pictures of the Yakima Reservation horses before. Access is extremely limited unless you're a tribal member but fortunately, there were a couple of small bands near the river.
Autumn weather is in full swing in Portland, resulting in morning fog and gorgeous color in the afternoons. Your comments and suggestions are much appreciated.

I am so appreciative of your many kind comments. I started taking pictures about 2 years ago . . . I’ve upgraded my glass but still use my original Rebel SL1. Without question, this is absolutely my favorite hobby. The camera gives me the perfect excuse to get outside in this beautiful world we live in.
Thank you for the encouragement!

Very good pictures. Your photos from Yakima WA reminded of my Army service in rhe 2nd Inf. Div. back in 1948-49 when Yakima was a firing range for our tanks, etc., and when we had to go over the range to discover unexploded shells. I guess it's no longer unsafe.

My family homesteaded in the Columbia Basin in about 1960. The land was mainly sagebrush. I remember there was an old wagon trail that went across the property. When we leveled the land, we found a remnants of the military testing. I guess they had some test bombs that were identical to the real thing but had no explosives. I did make life interesting, though. My brothers and I still own the farm . . . My parents would be delighted!
