Well Rich, here is my post:
“Well Rose42, I was born in ‘40, and thus am 78 years old. Never in that 78 years, in real time or in retrospect, have I need a gun to defend myself, and frankly, no one that I know has either.
I am a gun owner, but I have never needed it as you suggest, and I don’t know anyone else who ever needed one.”
I think there are sufficient facts involved in what I said, and the post reflects my experience.
I don’t deny the figures of various causes of death by alcohol, smoking etc., but these have nothing to do with my post and my experience.
Yes, guns are protected by the Constitution.
I am a gun owner myself; I own three .45s, a nine millimeter, a .380, and a two-inch .38, but I have never had the need to use them defensively, and never in my 78 years did I wish I had one for defensive purposes. Furthermore, to my knowledge, Not One of my friends or associates have used a gun defensively.
Those are the pertinent facts you say I’m afraid of and confused by, and I reiterate them to show you than I Am Not Afraid Of Them, Or Confused By Them!
What say you?
