Short post on status of Blue Ridge Parkway colors

The colors are not there yet where I am. Went up Tuesday to Mt. Pisgah. Leaves are drying up and very little color to see. The sassafras in my back yard us usually beautiful but is getting brown spots, turning yellow, and drying up as are a lot of trees around here. The best year I remember is 2007. It was spectacular. You can look up "color on the Blue Ridge Parkway" and it will give you a rundown on the sections.
