What resolution are you shooting at?
What does your manual say?

It varies from camera to camera and based on settings for your capture. Your camera manual should have a reference to the sizes of files given different settings.
For a 24MP camera shooting raw, one image is about 30MB. Don't ask me why, I just looked at the size of a few raw pics and they ranged from 27.5 to 30 MB for my D7200 6000x4000 pixel DX body. So, for a 16GB mem stick you should get about 500 images and a 32GB card should hold about 1000 images.

If he asked about jpeg why would the discussion go to raw figures?
It's difficult to determine the JPEG file size. Of course it depends on the image size but it also depends on the degree of compression and the contents of the image. For example if you save a blank image as JPEG the file would be very small.

You are right, sorry, I wasn't as careful as I should have been reading the post.

Is there a website for the memory card manufacturer?
Does the website list various products?
Are details provided for those products?
Do the details include capacity (i.e., number of files)?

You really need to set some parameters for a question like this. Depending upon camera settings and sensor size the answer could range from just a few hundred to well over 10,000 images.
Your question is like asking how fast does an airplane fly? Neither question can be answered with any amount of accuracy.
Let me try this again. I looked at a bunch of fine jpg files coming from a D7200 24MP 6000x4000 pixel DX camera. The image sizes range from 2.5MB to 20MB. At 20MB a 16GB thumb drive would hold about 800 images and a 32GB thumb drive would hold about 1600 images. Double the numbers to 1600 for 16GB drive and 3200 for a 32GB drive if your average file size is about 10MB.

It depends on the size and quality you choose to shoot at as well as the MP resolution of your camera. Your camera should have a table that will tell you how many images you will be able to shoot based on those parameters. If the table does no include all of the SD card sizes you need, just do the math based on what IS provided.

That depends on the file sizes, its obviously different for each!

This is known as the MP conundrum best explained with the following example:
What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
What do you mean? An African or European swallow??
