Vacation in North Ga. along the Cartecay River

Last week the wife and I took a much needed vacation in the mountains. Here are some of the pictures of where we stayed. The rapids just in front of the cabin were some of the best. Many people were tubing or using kayaks. Some did not do so well and even lost their kayaks and either they or the kayak made it down faster than the other. When Michael's rain past the river rose about two feet. Some people took off work to make the trip. About the third day I noticed that a giant Walking Stick was watching us from across the river. I ended up taking over 300 pics and these were some of the best.
