It's so pervasive in our culture that even many christians that I know take it as truth without even thinking of how it conflicts with the word of God. You know...the offhand comments about how "our ancestors lived" painting them as brutes living in caves and such, discovering fire and dragging their woman behind them by the hair...etc.
It's everywhere..said as fact.
For a Christian, God's word is authoritative; He created the first two humans about 6,500 years ago from dirt and they weren't cavemen and grunting half-monkeys...they were people mainly like you and me.
I hope that the next time you read or hear someone talk about "our ancestors" and their primitive grunting and caves that you declare the truth to them instead of remaining silent.
PS: I'm not saying that nobody's ever lived in caves, they still do, but I'm challenging the "cave man" idea.
Amen brother, I cringe when I go to a museum of Nature and Science anymore! It's mostly garbage! I only went lately to see the dead sea scrolls and later find out that some of them may be fake!
