Here's the deal. I started this thread and posited my theory as to why Nikki Haley was stepping down after two years as UN Ambassador, to wit, she is planning to run for president in 2024.

You responded in anti-Trump robot like fashion by saying "I don't believe she was a Kool-Aid drinking follower...seriously." That was a non-sequitur, made no sense. I would think that since she's from South Carolina, iced tea or mint julep would be more her favorite drink. Nevertheless I figured your Kool-Aid reference was about that leftist mass murderer, Jim Jones and his preferred method of execution; poisoned Kool-Aid. I could not see why you would think Nikki Haley would be a follower of Jim Jones or a leftist. So of course, at that point, I figured to were taking a shot at President Trump, in your unthinking robot-like fashion.

So, I gave you a chance and prompted you to chose between "stupid" meaning that you have no mind of your own and just react in a stupid manner, or "clueless" meaning you had no idea what was going on around you and you just blurted out something...seriously.

I watched the announcement, she and President Trump announcing it together. She took the time to point out that she will not be running for office in 2020 and that she will be campaigning FOR President Trump instead. I do not pretend (unlike a lot of people) to read body language through the television or video and explain all the subtexts and contradictions between the words spoken and the messages sent. So, maybe she was lying through her teeth the whole time.

But I don't think she was lying. I firmly believe that she is planning to run for president in 2024 and she needs the customary 5 years to accumulate wealth in preparation for a run. I suspect she has found some sponsors and will be working on getting more.

Unfortunately, your answers lead me to believe that you are so blinded by your hatred for Trump that you see an interpret everything through that hate filter and it renders you stupid AND clueless. You are no different in your interpretation and view than that idiotic website Dirtbag keeps quoting on this site. Your motto is: Anything to do with Trump is bad or worse.

I actually think President Trump selected her for the post to just get her on his team and keep her quiet. I'm finding that President Trump has a knack for picking people and it works out for him when he follows his instincts. He's assembled an awesome team for trade negotiations and they are kicking donkey and taking names.

In Nikki Haley, he found a great negotiator and an ardent supported of the USA (unlike most of the team in the prior administration) and he allowed her to be her own person. I think President Trump does that when he finds the right person for the job. He's not a micro-manager like 0bama or Carter; he's a businessman and he knows how to delegate.

Does he make mistakes? Sure, absolutely, but he moves quickly to fix them whenever possible.

I think Nikki Haley surprised a lot of people and I think President Trump is very pleased with himself for naming her to that position; she did great. I don't think they grew close, but I believe they have a good relationship and he supports her goals. I think she will reciprocate. We shall see.
