This photo was taken last year in the Anza Borrego desert, which lies in east San Diego county. There are over 100 of these metal sculptures created by artist Ricardo Breceda, scattered throughout the desert.
It is very difficult to get photos of the sculptures without people "getting in the way”. ;-)
It’s a tad over-exposed, but nothing that can’t be fixed in post-processing. Both jpeg and dng files attached...
Please feel free to download the file in this thread. Then edit it any way that you feel is effective. You can make a composite, convert to black and white, or do alterations and adjustments. Then, when your edit is finished, you can post it in this thread. Edits will be accepted until 9 pm on Thursday. At that point we will start the voting. I thought it would look ok if they were in an alien world.
CS5 and Perfect Effects. Removed supporting Posts. Removed the two subjects. Removed the telephone pole. Removed the car. Replaced Background as needed. Removed the contrail in the sky.
Did some burning in on the critters. Used the Big Softy Vignette in Perfect Effects. Also used the Sky Enhancement in Perfect Effects.
Houston we have a bug problem.
