To try to claim that he lost control after Democrats baited him for weeks is ridiculous. The behavior of Feinstein, Booker and others was shameful. Pointing that out was hardly partisan or losing control. That was just the truth. None of this would have gone down the way it did if Feinstein and others had just asked appropriate questions and turned the letter over to the FBI earlier in the process. Their behavior was corrupt, yet you cite Kavanaughs indignation over that as grounds to disqualify him from his position. Let's just say that you are right. Then Every Democrat on the judiciary committee should also lose their job and be investigated for possible perjury, because their behavior was far worse than anything that Kavanaugh did during his hearing.
In the case of Kavanaugh it is possible that both Ford and Kavanaugh believe that they are telling the truth. If you read her report Ford does not come out looking very good, certainly not as a credible witness. Based on her inability to remember things from the last six weeks related to her polygraph test and her conversations with the Washington Post where she can't remember important details coupled with discrepancy in her statements it is reasonable to assume that she did indeed have some trauma in her life, but there is no compelling reason to believe that trauma was caused by Kavanaugh.”
I’m sorry, but you are wrong. Republicans knew from the git-go they were vulnerable. That’s why they powered the nomination through with all power, and all lies. The Ford’s letter would have been buried, just as a million documents Kavanaugh worked on were buried, and just as the 40,000 document dump within 24 hours of the vote overwhelmed any possibility at discovery. That was all a muscled drive to force the nominiation.
What Feinstein and Booker et al did was perfectly appriopriate and effective, except in the end Trump and the presidential corruption won. The Dems absolutely were Not incorrect in what they did, nor were they corrupt.
Trump knew this guy was morally suspect from the start, which made him agreeable to Trump’s deal—“I’ll muscle you on, but you’ve sold your soul to weaponize the court and save my ass when I’m indicted.”
It worked.
Kavanaugh did lose control, and so blatantly that over 2,400 Law Professional and Professors deemed him unfit for the court, as did two previous justices, and two serving justices posted a similar warning—a staggering situation!

Perfectly reasonable for you to suggest everyone be evaluated for perjury, but Trump couldn’t allow it because he knew K’s background, and that Kavanaugh was lying repeatedly.
We don’t know and can’t say what the FBI may have found about Ford and the sexual assault, but Trump holding them back, defining exactly who they could interview, demonstrates he was running from truth and transparency.
We now have Trump entirely weaponizing the Republican Party, partially weaponizing the FBI, and entirely weaponizing the Supreme Court. This lays a foundation for the destruction of our democracy which should be complete within his first term if he’s allowed to serve the full term.
He has brought Presidential Corruption to its highest level in American History with his own efforts and those of his family, his cabinet is the most incompetent and corrupt in American History, he’s turned the Presidency into a personal profit center for himself. Kim in North Korea played him like a drum, and Putin rules the White House. (Why do you think there were all these secret meetings to set up a back channel communications system with Russia—one possibility was to run out of the Soviet Embassy!!!).
We have met the enemy, and his name is Trump! Our only hope is Mueller keeping Trump from joining Hitler, Stalin, and Mao!
