What do you consider "High" latitudes?
PS in case you are absolutely confused it works in all 49 states excluding Alaska.
I would imagine a majority on this site qualify and Australia would work as well.
As well as most of Europe England is a bit far up.
So does that help with your bitter miserable response?

PS, This works in the 49 US states (Alaska excluded) Most of Australia and large parts of South America, most of Europe below Great Britain, most of Asia etc. Just in case anyone wants to make a stupid comment about higher latitudes.

As I noted, it's an approximation at midlatitudes.
With any approximation, it's good to know the limitations. At very high latitudes (e.g. above the arctic circle) it probably works moderately well at the equinoxes but around the solstice above the arctic circle the apparent motion of the sun is more horizontal than vertical so the approximations don't work there.
If it works in one place and not in another, then the space in between is subject to inaccuracies.

how many people wander in the attic here. This is good for the 49n states out of high latitudes, Alaska does not work as well.
