A few weeks ago, I posted that I would walk Hadrian's Wall Path which I completed in mid-Sept. Here are a few photos of this trek.
The boots have been abandoned by their wearers in Bowness, the western end of the Path. The church has held services since 1166.

Stunning countryside to go along with 2,000 years of history.
Thanks for viewing. Jay Denny

Oh, wow - what a wonderful hike - 83 miles? We did a day trip to the wall a couple years ago and didn't see nearly as much as I would have liked. How long did it take to walk the entire length?

Wall Path is billed at 84 miles, coast-to-coast. In reality it it is closer to 100.

Yes, that is the Roman Wall. Originally, it was 10 meters tall, with a turret/fort every mile. Over the years much of it was pilfered in building local churches and other structures.

Amazing scenery. A beautiful hike I'm sure! Did you backpack your gear, or are there Inns along the way for sleeping and freshening up?
