If her therapist managed to "uncover" some type of repressed memory of unknown sexual assault, it's highly unlikely that the right person would be identified.

The chief prosecutor for Onondaga County, NY, was on Judge Jeanine Pirro's show on Saturday night. He stated the he's been involved in a number of these types of recovered memory cases, and the witnesses are by and large are unreliable, and he never uses those ID's as evidence.

The same goes for hypnosis.

It is likely, but her past would need to be investigated. It is out that she is mentally unstable and came from an unstable home. Her therapist could have planted the false memory. Or she could be a liar who will end up being filthy rich when this is over.

Re: false memory, it happens but is pretty much limited to easily manipulated minds, typically youngsters. I believe a long practicing PhD professor of advanced psychology level college courses is the last among us to be victimized by a less qualified person.

I would disagree, the woman has been in therapy for years, her husband says she came from a unstable home where she did not feel she was given enough attention and recognition. She is the perfect candidate for false memory.
