Has any Hedgehoggers been to RI? I will be leaving by Amtrak this Friday early in the Morning! Any photo opportunities near the train station?

Plenty to shoot wherever you go! If you have time, Federal Hill. Newport is great—mansions, beaches, the bridges. Block Island. Providence has the Statehouse, the canal, old and new architecture. You’re limited only by your imagination!

Do you happen to recall the name of the Steak House?
If you are limited to Providence, anywhere you go when you step out of the station is a photo op. Right across the street from the front entrance is the Statehouse. About 1/2 mile away as the crow flies is the east side, architecture spanning 3 centuries, RISD, Brown U. Good luck.

If you'll be in Providence during a Waterfilre Event they're pretty cool. Will be a fun chance to hone your night/low light shooting skills.

Everywhere in RI is beautiful. I wish I still lived there...love New England.
If you can get to Block Island, the photo ops never end. If you go to Newport, the ocean front walk past the "cottages" is a good one.
Prospect Terrace on Congdon St.: Amazing views of downcity and surrounding Providence, especially at sunset. Statue of founder Roger Williams with outstretched arm. Classic! Providence River Boat cruise through downtown is great for getting a taste of history and many photo opportunities.
I live in RI. The train station itself is a photographic opportunity. If you are staying in Kingston there are farms, ponds that you’ll find worthy.
Are you visiting other areas of the state? How long is your stay? Rhode Island has many beautiful areas. I hope you have time to see them.
Just happen to catch a Basin Lighting - Sunset at Waterfire! that weekend. Thanks
Will be staying nearby the Amtrak Train Station.

Near? Walking distance? Taxi ride? I bet there will be lots of photo ops in and around the station itself.
