Fine shots. The boldness of the penultimate one is great. The surfboard diagonal crossing the frame makes the shot. I think it would work equally well as a black and white conversion.

Really like photo #3. It's kind of an environmental shot. Photo #9 is great also but I'd want to eliminate the guy sitting in the lower right corner maybe with the content aware fill tool in Photoshop. He's just annoying there in the photo. Did you crop the photo? Maybe leave a little more space on the right and left sides. The tip of the surf board is getting clipped off on the right side. The heel of his foot is right up to the left side.

My sentiments exactly. The third caught my attention due to editing. Number nine was remarkable.

Maybe on elimination of guy lower right. He
May contribute to the emotion of the moment.

Thanks frjack........I had to look up the word "penultimate" to find out what you were talking about. I'm not as articulate as you are! lol Thanks for the kind comments about that penultimate photo. Composition is a key element in photography as you know. There are endless ways to photograph a subject, and I encourage all my UHH friends to be creative and unleash their hidden talents.

Thanks CO for your thoughts and comments on this series. I think the lighting and composition of #3 is intriguing and glad you appreciate it. I'm attaching a revised version of #9 for you. It's interesting that frjack (above your post) also commented about #9 and like it but didn't say anything about the tip of the board being off the image. I did crop the photo only to straighten out the horizon. What do you think about the revised image without the guy sitting in the bottom right corner? I had thought of eliminating him but got lazy and just put it on UHH. I agree with you that it is an improvement.

Thanks Greg for your appreciation of this series. I think I have been stereotyped as the "surfer photographer" here on the Hog! lol
