Oh come on, it's more fun to guess

Boberic, please pick one from each section below (or enter a write-in candidate), then discuss in 25 words or less.

A. "Exif screen" - an extension in a web browser? A section of a photo editor (which one)? In File Manager of Windows (which version)? 'Whatever' on a Mac?

B. "Download" - the link generated when we "store original" on UHH? Download from UHH to computer? Download from camera to computer?

I'm afraid that's still not very specific. What are you left clicking on. Left clicking on UHH just doesn't make any sense. Unfortunately, we are not mind readers. And what is it you are trying to see? And a link generated to do what? It is not at all clear what you're trying to do. Add a picture? View EXIF data? Download a picture?

I'll give it another try:
Left-click the "download" link under a photo. That takes you to a new screen on which you can view the photo larger. If you right-click the photo while on that page, you get a menu from which you can choose to "save image as" ...and select your computer as destination. Once you have the photo on your computer, you can right click it for another menu. Choose "properties" and then "details" in order to see exif.

Are we getting close?

Sorry for the confusion. When I left click on a downloaded image, I get a box on the right which has choose EFIX, second from the bottom ( Which I used to get) when I left click on choose efix I get a verry small box on the upper left, where all the exif dta used to be. but the box is empty and no matter what I do the exif data is not available. It"s very frustrating.I am doing everything that used to get the data. but I have failed every time. Remember what Einstein said.

What is EFIX? Did you mean EXIF? Are you trying to view the image and EXIF data in your browser? If so which browser are you using? Exif viewers are usually a browser extension. Perhaps your's got disabled. It's still not completely clear if you've downloaded an image from UHH to a folder on your computer or if you are just clicking on Download under an image in UHH and viewing it full screen in your browser. Your descriptions of what you are trying to do are still too vague. The devil is in the details.

Try re-installing the Firefox exif reader to the browser. In Chrome browser under customize/control, I can view which extensions I currently have installed.

Many thanks. I don't how, or why, or when. but somehow the exif data is back. Maybe The gods of exif fixed my computer. Or perhaps the gremlins had too much grog

Misbehaving gremlins aside, not all photos on UHH will display exif. However, I assume you would see "no exif available" or similar label when that happens.
