I have a bench in a shady, secluded area where I like to sit. It is a good vantage point for spotting potential photo ops. There two were both within three feet of my bench. The mushrooms had sprung up under a Salvia bush on one side and the Buttercup was growing on the other side. I hope you enjoy these.

You did your usual fantastic job on both of these. Beautifull light and presentation.
Outstanding work Carol, great use of the light, love the mushrooms, I never see any out here I guess the ground is to dry.

Thank you, Bruce! I’ve attempted the Buttercups in the past but this is the first time I really felt satisfied with the outcome. I frequently find bright yellow difficult to work with.

Thank you, Mike. Mushrooms definitely like wet conditions. I find them when it has rained and usually in shady locations.
Nice. It's amazing how those mushrooms spring up so fast. If I know the next location, I could make a time lapse.

These are beautiful Carol. A very good argument for sitting in a favorite spot and giving yourself enough time to pay attention.
Both are good. #1 is really nice.

Thank you, Jerry. They do show up fast most of the time. I can go out in the morning after a rain and find some types right out in the open where I know they didn’t exist the day before.

Thank you, Phil. I go out there most every day. The yard area is fairly small but this is a shady and secluded corner that is out of sight but allows me to watch my bird feeders and bird baths as well as butterflies and other insects.
