Here's a brief article that expounds to NOT geo tag photos. I've always been a proponent of leave no trace at site I visit but there do seem to be enough slobs around to ruin the trip by others with their trash.

Interesting scenario.
Luckily only my phone geotags, which I only use to identify where I was since so many places in Maine look the same.

I always geo-tag my photos to help me remember where they were taken, this is the one and only reason as I do not publish my photographs.

Yes, because NOT geotagging your Yellowstone pictures will stop all travel to and littering at Yellowstone.
