I bought the new 105 1.4 today and I am loving the results.
Let me know what you think.
Great subjects and back rounds ! The lens did a good job and so did you. My only concern is with the very flat frontal lighting !?.....
..
Just beautiful! Skilfully and artfully taken. I'm inspired...
Did you shoot these at f1.4? Nice bokeh, I would have shot them a little tighter.
My first thought was that they looked a bit soft/flat. On double download I see that the lips, eyes (intended focus points) are critically sharp....with DOF falling off quickly. As already mentioned, perhaps "lighting" could be improved....and you might want to consider stopping down a wee bit to sharpen the faces to include the hair??? Just my two cents.
That lens and camera are definitely "keepers."

Great shots and good promo for the lens.
Amazing that combo is great. I do agree that you could use a little more DOF and wee bit tighter shot. Other than that I love the shots.

Great shots. As to the comments regarding cropping slightly, one feature of the D850 which I love is the 46 meg image. Cropping usually leaves you with plenty of pixels for most uses.
I love the ethereal look of the photos. Very nice work
Looks like a great combination to me.
