Check out www.DealExtreme.com (China) I saw a couple different diameter collars.
I have bought from them a few times, been satisfied with products each time.

Go to e-bay. You'll find them and they are much cheaper than the Canon's and yo'll never know the difference. I am a Canon shooter but many of their accessory prices are absurd. Have fun and keep shootin'. Mike

Go to e-Bay - as you may know by now Canon gets $150 for their tripod mount - I bought mine on e-bay for $12. They are not EXACTLY the same - the Canon is smoother/better but not $130 better !

Bought one for another canon lens of ebay works great and a lot cheaper than canon.

I found this one on eBay for $22.70 +$1.41 shipping (Hong Kong)

If I put more information it came up with only the 70-200 lens.
