Worth scorching dinner for...

Looked out the window as I was going into the living room last night and saw the white cloud with the sun shining on it. My house faces dead east and across the trees is a river and mountain. There is also a mountain behind me. Forgot about supper, grabbed my Oly EM1 Mark II with 14-42 lens and stayed in the yard for the show. Dinner was edible.

That cloud was also seen in Asheville! Very strange as was the only cloud in the sky and was scary enough to question if something really bad was happening....😳

It was unique. I wondered at first if there was a fire but then it started dispersing. Bet it was quite a sight to the folks on that plane.

Thank you. I have a Nuwave induction unit that heats only steel and iron. It cuts off after 1 hour if not set for longer so it's safer than the stove. I use it all the time as it heats so fast and I know what the temperature is. I realize this series isn't really closeup but if I had put it in the photos it would have gone down the line so fast. Thought this way it would have a better chance of being seen as I thought it was worth viewing.

Eleanor, excellent set. I love the ones toward the end showing off the yellow tint the best.

Great images, one shot! Love the series transition.

Supports my opinion that Western North Carolina is beautiful wherever and whenever you look. (My summer home is in Maggie Valley.)

Glad you enjoyed nature's show. I agree that WNC is a great place. My family's been here since the 1800's.

Thank you. Always a good idea to keep a camera ready - never know what might pop up! That transition was mesmerizing.
