Would you believe another owl....
After stumbling onto the pair of horned owls I photographed and posted yesterday, I took my camera with me on my dog's evening walk...just in case. In another part of our pine grove "forest" I spotted this single owl. The bird appeared to me to be slightly smaller and more brown in coloring rather than predominant gray of the previous owls. I was treated to a total body preening which included scratching behind the ears, working on claws and feet, but for the most part the owl simply stared me down. What wonderful animals these birds are!

Love it...never get tired of Owls
Thanks to all who viewed and commented. These are truly wonderful animals...so full of character and beauty. For me to see owls two days in a row after a lifetime of zero sightings is amazing and just fortunate my camera equipment was close at hand.
