I will be in Manhattan NY on 1 September for 4 days and want a reliable camera repair company who can turn a repair around in two days. Can anyone help me with this please. Thanks for your help. If you cannot find a suitable repair option, you might consider rental an option. https://www.lensrentals.com/rent/cameras/photo/olympus

Call B&H in NYC! They might do some repair at best, or they can recommend some one to help. Good luck!

Much would depend on the repair. Will they be able to quickly diagnose the cause? Will it require complete camera disassembly? Will it need some special replacement part?

If you are still in San Francisco try Sammy's camera, at least for advice. Otherwise rent or buy a new body. You've spent plenty on the trip and it clearly means a lot to you.

I don't know what's involved. It seems to be a power problem. It switches on the viewfinder for a few seconds then its blank. The battery is fully charged.

Good luck. Bite the bullet and buy a new one, you can repair / sell the old one, but you can't replace your trip experiences. Cameras are replaceable, just like politicians, but it can feel a bit brutal when it happens.

Enjoy your trip

Buy the Pen F
so when you have the EM1 Mk2 fixed you have 2 different camera.

That’s great advice. Best wishes for a safe journey and a fabulous trip.
Hope you will be able to publish a book of the results. — Ralph

I've used The Camera Doctor on 30th Street but I'm not sure about the quick part. Took a week for me to get back my Nikon.

Thinking about it, I prefer to carry two bodies so I don’t have to take the time to change lenses and that also insures that I have the camera ready for the shot I want, and keeps my sensors cleaner. You probably did not want to buy a new camera, but this could be a blessing in disguise if you use more than one lense.
