According to TravelOK the Ritz was originally built in 1897 as a dry goods store, but became the Titz in 1926. It is found on old (real) US 66 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. I drive the route often returning home from visiting family. I took this picture just recently.

Will have to go by there one of these days. Though I live down by Fort Worth, I use a bookbinder in Shawnee. Anyone remember what a bookbinder does. They are hard to find.

That would be a long drive - about 7 hours fron Ft. Worth. If you were to come up, you would pick up the mother road off I35 just north of OKCity; it's marked. The road is mostly alright and the drive time to Tulsa is only about 40 minutes longer. Thanks for looking.

I actually live down by Stephenville and come up 281 to Remington Park and Heritage Place Horse Sale. Probably will run out to Shawnee then to get my books.

Just a note on my last. the 66 exit is about 15 miles north of the turnpike, Enjoy the trip. We have a lot of rain so fall foliage will be nice in NE Oklahoma.
