A couple from Holland...

As a kid, I lived in Holland for nearly 5 years and just loved it. My dad was in the Air Force and stationed at Soesterburg A.F.B. near the town of Soest. It has been 40 years since I have been back, and went specifically to visit a friend who, while we lived in Holland, was like a 2nd mother to me. She and her husband took my sister and I everywhere. They were then and now, wonderful people. Earlier this year, the man died from a brain tumor, so since I was going to be in Europe, I decided to detour with my family to Holland for a few days to see her and pay my respects to him. Here is two of the images I made in Amsterdam (canal shot) and of some Windmills that are between Soest and Amsterdam. The final shot is a "selfie" my family and I in front of my childhood home in Soest along with my friend Marion. Nice to be back. I have been in Europe for a month now and will be here in Tuscany attending a class for the next two weeks. Has been a magnificent summer for me and I've shot so many photos and met so many people. Many more photos to come from Holland, Scotland, Rome, The Vatican and here in magnificent Tuscany. Hope you enjoy these!
