It's time for another Fisking:

I totally agree, Rudy did not misspeak and he was quite correct, which is what blows libs minds.

You know, the libs always accuse conservatives of being pure black and white, no shades of gray. They always say we have no flexibility and that life is always complicated. Yet when it comes to stuff like "truth" and perjury and so on for Republicans , they become absolutists. Like I always say, if it weren't for double standards, they would have no standards at all.

I'm old enough to know that when I have two people telling me about an event, I get two different stories and neither one is "the truth." They say perception is reality, and while some people misconstrue that a bit, in the grand scheme of things, it absolutely is. You and I can witness an event, we may even agree on the grand lines of it and yet we will each remember different things about it and they may be contradictory to one another.

Recently police have started using body cameras, and that has really had an impact on public perception that is still being measured. Before body cameras it was always a case of he said, he said or they said and so on. Yes, people lied, and police officers lied and witnesses lied or misremembered or misunderstood. We always like to think that we are observant and that our perception is "the truth" and that anyone who disagrees with us is a fool, a liar, or worse.

That's just not so, and that's been the big bugaboo with witnesses and testimonies and so on since the dawn of time when dealing with questions that are more complicated than something like "what is two plus two or Joe shot Sam." People see things through their filters (biases, education, training, mood,) and then firmly believe that they know "the truth" about something. They are wrong so often and the body cams have been really good at showing that.

However:

The PERJURY TRAP has NOTHING TO DO WITH “HE SAYS /SHE SAYS”...it about Trump contradicting trump’s own earlier statements!

The perjury trap is a very real thing. It is an artifice that is usually used to squeeze someone about something or to make them more forthcoming about real crimes. If you go with a he says/he says, thing you have to judge which side is closer to "the truth." The FBI has shown itself to be biased and crooked (Strzok, McCabe, etc) and they don't record their interviews or interrogations. It's all notes and thus filtered through the agents biases, training, knowledge, etc. Also, someone may remember something one day and remember differently the next day. It happens all the time. If you think you can remember a conversation that you had with someone 4 months ago and then be interrogated in detail about it now and then again in 2 weeks from now and you get the exact same details correctly, you're a MUCH better person that I because I can't.

There have been countless times when I've contradicted myself about stuff and actually had to go back to contemporaneous notes to try to get the "truth." That's why I keep copious notes dealing with customers. I deal with a lot of things at times, and they can conflate and get jumbled up. I always wonder how a President can actually function dealing with everything that's going on.

For example, 0bama is not a dummy, but he never spoke from the heart, it was always from the Teleprompter (TOTUS). The few times that he would speak without one, he made no sense because he understood very little about the world and he had never run a company or anything before. Trump very rarely uses a Teleprompter, which is why he does tend to repeat himself and get a lot of things wrong or exaggerated when he talks. He is the consummate businessman and dealmaker, so he talks, a lot. Ask the same thing next week, and you'll get a different set of facts, even contradictory facts, but that's not perjury. That's human nature.

That’s why Guilliani continues to say “That is how Trump will testify”, why trump’s team is working so hard to control the questions Mueller can ask (which is ridiculous), and why trump’s legal team say “they already know this” attempting to dismiss the question before it can be asked.

If such an interview would take place, Mueller will be hell-bent on looking for anything to use as perjury because he has nothing else. This interview would be fraught with landmines, and Mueller would be the one to arbitrate what "the truth" is and we know he is corrupt. Trump wants to testify because he knows he's got nothing to hide; he did not collude with Russia and he did not obstruct justice, so he believes he can talk about that and get it over with. However, history has shown us that this is not what would occur. Look at the Scooter Libby case: there was no real crime (Valerie Plame was not a "covert agent,") and the event that precipitated the investigation and the Special Counsel was caused by Richard Armitage telling a journalist that Valerie Plame was CIA, which was not a secret in the first place. This was known BEFORE the special counsel was named, and the special counsel knew that from the start. But special counsels must nail someone and in this case he nailed Scooter Libby on a made-up perjury charge. He decided what "the truth" was and he got a conviction. Years later, we come to find out that "the truth" that was used to convict Scooter Libby was not true.

I am now watching the debacle taking place around the Flynn indictment and it's exactly the same as Libby, only worse because the FBI altered the notes from the interview and Mueller is the one who decided what "the truth" is.

It’s so obvious that only a blind trump apologist can’t or won’t see the lame tactics they are attempting to use.

Wake up!

It's only obvious to you because you are so biased and ignorant.

Did he just misspeak when he said the Russian attorney was a private citizen with a Russian last name and no connection to the Russian government, and they didn't even know she was Russian till they met her? Before replying, remember the E-mail has been made public.

I was willing to discuss the counter arguments I have with your post but
Your closing sentence:

“It's only obvious to you because you are so biased and ignorant.”

makes that a waste of time. There are serious errors in your post.

So says the person who has been caught posting memes that were complete and utter falsehoods. I don't think we need any lectures from the likes of you on this subject.

And didn't your side howl for months about the "57 states"? Or did you forget that?

Its kind of a goose and gander thing.

Well, that explains your bad English.

No, there is one truth. Truth are facts, they don't differ for libs or cons. When somebody says, "Truth isn't truth," you can usually figure they have mental issues.

I've gotta disagree. Many times, Trump has been accused of lying, but he has maintained he's correct. All the lefties have said Trump is lying, or not a truth. Then it turns out he was not lying. Initially, the anti Trumpers believed they were correct, then it turned out Trump was, in fact, correct, and was not lying. 2 Truths. When all the facts were in, there was then only one truth.
