I suspect a bunch of those were posed with tame/trained animals.
Some of those young/baby animals are species who Moms generally tear a new one for anyone or anything that gets too close to the kids. Plus there had to be someone there taking the picture of the "cute" encounter.
That said, yes they are cute/funny.

African photog submerges self in waterhole for three months, to get lions and wildlife watering. Suffers all sorts of discomfort and ailments, but he got close!!!
