Chopper, Madame P's Peruvian Piranha Dog, has held the position of 'Familiar' for the last hundred years or so. His help and advice have been invaluable to the Ministry's ranking Dark Lady. But Chopper is aging, and announced he will be retiring in a few weeks. He will hold the title of 'Familiar Emeritus' and continue to offer advice on occasion, but will no longer be involved in her day to day routine of mischief, mayhem, and spellcasting.
As such, the search is on for a young familiar to fill Chopper's giant/tiny pawprints.
As the Ministry of Mayhem's newest recruit, close scrutiny is being given to a kitten named Renzy, who shows precocious mental acuity and considerable destructive capabilities. The Martian says we will find out quickly if Renzy has the 'right stuff' to earn this coveted position, but Madame P already appears satisfied he's got the job.

Looking at those gorgeous eyes i'm sure that Renzy could have the''right stuff'' to be the favourite to get the job and it looks like Renzy and Madame P will have a succesful partnership together.
Another beautiful portrait Randy.Excellent work.

Thanks, Hal, and it's clear you have a 'smart' mouse, lol. That kitten attacks anything that moves. Just one look from him is enough to fill the stoutest heart with terror, and your mouse is proof of that. ; )
Thanks for stopping by and the laugh, always much appreciated!

Thanks, Angler. The Martian is sometimes bit slow in committing himself. Looks to me like we have a winner here, too, so no need to sign Madame P up for eHarmony, Zoosk, or Match.com...
Which, I'm sure, will relieve her, as she says she has no good photos of herself.
Thanks for the kind comments and your visit, always very much appreciated!
What a gorgeous image, hard to keep the eyes off such beauties. You are a master in post processing Randy.

Thanks, nimbushopper. I'm fortunate to have some very attractive models, female and feline, and they make all the difference, lol. But thanks for the compliment! It's all just for fun. Glad you enjoy the stories.
Thanks again for the very kind words and your visit, it's most appreciated!

Thanks, Angela. Glad you liked this one. They're a lot of fun to do, and of course they make Madame P smile, always the goal.
Thanks for your kind comments and visit, they're always much appreciated!

What a sweet portrait!
Thanks, Linda. Madame P has had a big grin on her face since this kitten came to live with us, and that has led to some nice photo ops! Most of these lately have been done with the cell phone, and surprisingly they don't turn out too badly, even with the lower resolution.
Thanks for your very kind comment and your visit, I'm always very grateful!

Thanks, Mike. The kitten is a cutie (and part demon, lol) and of course IMO Madame P is, in her own way, as spectacular as your Alaska landscapes! Well, almost. LOL
Thanks for your very kind comments and visit, always very much appreciated!
Beautiful portrait of both, Randy!
